LOWER DOWNS:    

 

(MERTON)

This project involves the maximisation of a Residential Mid Terrace located in Merton.  The Rear Extension was obtained through the Prior Approval Process and then confirmed via LDC. 

 

This second stage of confirmation was employed due to the nature of the extension which has a design that is particular to Merton's interpretation of the GPDO and is proliferated within the immediate locus of the site.  The ratio of flat roof to pitched roof was specified at a ratio of 1 to 3 although the material basis for this specification is still unknown and would appear to conflict with the GPDO (although has been approved via LDC and made lawful).

The loft extension was carried out separately also via LDC.
